Jeff is the founding Managing Director of TrailBlazer Finance. Jeff prefers to be known as the “CRO” – Chief Resources Officer – his role is to source the funding, best people and nicest offices for the team – the rest is their job! Prior to creating TrailBlazer Finance in 2011, Jeff ran and successfully sold several businesses including serving as the inaugural CEO of Vow Financial which won the MFAA “Wholesale Aggregator of the Year” awarded during his term of office. Jeff studied at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and then read law at Oxford University in England. After graduating, he joined Goldman Sachs, where he was trained on Wall Street, and then worked in their wealth management division in London.

Nadine began working with TrailBlazer Finance in 2015 as a Consultant Actuary. She has been engaged in various specialist projects including performing due diligence and valuations for the business’s more complex cases as well as building and fine-tuning the business’s forecasting models. Prior to starting her consultancy, Nadine spent five years working as a life insurance product development actuary for some of the most innovative, market-leading insurers in South Africa, London and Australia. Nadine is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.

As a specialist Sales & Business Development Consultant, Andrew is the first point of contact for matching our bespoke solutions to your needs. Andrew brings to TrailBlazer Finance a comprehensive understanding of the finance industry developed over two decades working for many of the major banks in Australia including NAB, BankWest and Westpac. Andrew has worked across sales, business development and credit, and has a deep understanding of whether a deal is likely to fund. He has also run a successful mortgage broking business of his own and has seen first-hand the changing landscape impacting finance professionals.

Jielin joined the Finance & IT division of TrailBlazer Finance in 2021. Under the guidance of the COO, he is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company’s cloud-based systems, creating and assisting in the upkeep of complex financial Excel models, researching and selecting new systems to effectively improve the business’ workflow efficiency, and other ad-hoc duties. Jielin is currently completing a Bachelor of Advanced Mathematics (Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics at the University of New South Wales, majoring in Advanced Statistics, Econometrics and Financial Economics.

Sharon joined TrailBlazer Finance in 2011. She has over 15 years’ experience as a PA & Office Manager. Sharon has strong organisational skills and ensures the TrailBlazer Finance team stays on task. She is the point of contact for all office matters and recruitment. Sharon originally started her career at Ansett Australia as an HR administrator, then progressed working at companies such as Corporate Express, Nutrimetics, Skin Doctors and Naturopathica.

Giuseppe joined TrailBlazer Finance in 2020 as Credit Manager. He is responsible for the credit process, overseeing all new and existing credit applications. Giuseppe has broad experience in the banking and finance industry and prior to joining the team, he spent over seven years with Macquarie Bank in various senior roles within the Credit and Settlements divisions. He has a Masters of Business in Finance from University of Technology of Sydney and a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Paulo joined TrailBlazer Finance as Chief Operating Officer in 2019. His role is to ensure the back office is efficient and to enhance and develop the business strategy. Prior to joining TrailBlazer Finance, Paulo held senior executive roles in market-leading ICT organisations and various roles within management consultancies including McKinsey, Deloitte, Nous and Huron Consulting. He brings with him extensive experience in corporate strategy, operations improvement, performance management and digital transformation. Paulo has worked in various markets including Australia, United States, United Kingdom and Brazil. He has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, a Certificate in Corporate Directorship from AICD, a Masters in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Nataliia joined the Credit team at TrailBlazer Finance in 2020. Reporting to the Head of Lending, she is responsible for managing the settlements and credit assessment functions for the business. An experienced banking professional with almost 20 years in the finance industry, Nataliia has spent her career working for leading financial services brands in Australia and Europe including, most recently, seven years’ at CBA. Nataliia holds a Bachelor of Banking & Finance from the Donetsk National University, Ukraine, in addition to a number of diplomas in accounting and banking services management.

Henry began working with TrailBlazer Finance in 2019. Having rotated through various functions within the business, Henry understands the company and the customers it serves. Henry has found his place in marketing, where he manages marketing strategy, tactical marketing functions, the CRM system and the strategic customer experience that TrailBlazer Finance offers the market. Henry has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, where he majored in marketing and management.

Anne joined the team at TrailBlazer in 2021 as a Sales and Administration Assistant. She is both the first point of contact for client sale enquiries and the go-to person for office management and administration. On a day-to-day, she supports the team in pre-qualifying prospects and ensures smooth workflow between sales, valuations and credit. Anne has had over four years’ experience at Commonwealth Bank and Westpac where she was dedicated to helping clients meet their financial goals. She attained her RG146 Tier 2 accreditation in 2017 and additionally, she is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts at UNSW majoring in Finance and Media, Culture and Technology.

Richard commenced working with TrailBlazer Finance in 2013. As Legal Consultant, Richard is responsible for the preparation of all loan and security documentation as well as providing ongoing legal advice. Richard has over 20 years’ legal experience in private practice and for corporations, specialising in corporate finance. Richard previously served as a partner in a global top tier law firm providing advice and negotiating high level corporate and project finance transactions. Richard also spent many years in-house as senior legal counsel within Westpac Institutional Bank, Investec Bank Australia (Capital Markets) and Rabobank Australia. Richard has worked in Sydney, Perth, London and Singapore.

Neema joined TrailBlazer Finance in 2020. He is responsible for interpreting valuations and interfacing with valuers to gain clarity and determine risks and mitigants. Prior to joining the team, Neema worked as a commodities consultant with an international financial software firm and an insurance consultant and product developer for a Shanghai-based wealth management firm. Neema holds a Masters in Actuarial Studies from the University of New South Wales, in addition to a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) & Bachelor of Science (Mathematics & Statistics) also completed at UNSW. Neema is also RG146 compliant through a Diploma of Financial Planning.
